My classes and our lovely artists gradually moved into mixed media with gusto, which means that each week when you come to class you choose the medium/media that is lighting you up at that moment. As for me, I am rarely using only one media these days...i generally start with some wet paint - gouache, watercolor or acrylic.....then reach for some ink, pastels, colored pencils, sometimes collage....you name it, to get it to my vision of expression.

The name of the game is EXPRESS YOURSELF! And that means use whatever it takes to do so. Plus it just triples the pleasure of making art.

Wednesday artists - pls note that your wk 4 will be Oct 2.

Here are a few simple coffee cups i painted in gouache a few years ago now. A composition can be as simple as a single cup, or an entire table set with your favorite brunch. You are the Artist so You Decide!
