Now, Let's Add COLOR!
Friday, April 28, 2023
We spent April experimenting with ink...
- creating our own ink tools
- playing around with bamboo pens (one of my all time faves!)
- trying out watersoluble, permanent and waterproof, and india and acrylic inks, and everything inbetween
- being mentored by VanGogh himself and his amazing marks
- making dilutions of our ink and creating value-full drawings
- introducing the ever versatile fude nib pen
- and playing with a pop of color here and there
but now it's time for all color, all the time!
For the month of May we will be adding COLOR - watercolor, gouache, acrylic... and even other mixed media that is not so Wet. (i.e. oil pastels, dry pastels, colored pencils....anything goes!)
If you want to play with ink and color - a most amazing sketching-on-the-go medium as well as one for beautifully detailed (as you wish) fine art... please join us. We start up again this coming week.
Classes Offered
Monday Mornings 10am - noon (California time)
Monday Afternoons 1:30 - 3:30pm
Wednesday Mornings 10am - noon
We will be taking the 5th week of the month off for some R & R, Memorial Day style.
Get in touch if you care to join us for the Colorful Month of May. ....you don't have to be experienced with ink.....let yourself have fun, give yourself permission to play.....and I will instruct you in the rest. DO have waterproof ink, preferably in black, and something, almost anything to draw with. Bamboo pen, fountain pen, dip pen, chop stick, drawing stick!!!
Here are some more pics of my little ink drawings from this month of classes. Hope you find something fun here. I do not take INK oh so seriously.....and thus, I am hoping you can feel my fun, joy, and freedom here.
If you enjoyed this post, please share it with an artsy friend. Thanks!
Be Creative. It's Good for the Soul!
