Ah, Louise…..she just wanted to come through.  Once again, this magical process of painting, and then having something OTHER than your intention present itself.  Cracks me up.  And faces are my thing, I may paint other objects, still life, and landscapes for practice and to continually hone my skills, but faces! I had this rectangle of wood, an odd size left over from cutting down a large board, and fell in love with it’s shape. Although this isn’t from a photograph (new art intention) it just came out.  Sometimes….quite often actually, when I set an intention for myself, that rebellious part of me screams “NO, I want to do THIS!”  So I let that voice out too. (The photograph has a bit of glare on the wine bottle, the painting doesn’t.)
