Buying My Art

A FEW NOTES

*All artwork is unmatted and unframed unless otherwise noted. Almost every OIL and ACRYLIC painting is on a cradled panel ready to hang.

And, of course, no watermark will be on your piece, that’s only for web presence.

Oil paintings will have a light spray of retouch varnish on them when you receive them.  It is best if you varnish them (sprayed or brushed on) in 6 months when they are completely dry to protect from dust and preserve them for many years to come.

Watercolor and gouache pieces, as well as ink drawings, do not have a varnish of any kind unless otherwise noted. These are best preserved matted and behind glass.

Many of my oil and  acrylic paintings are painted on wood panels, varnished and ready to hang.  I build 1″ cradles on many of them and paint the sides a nice matte black.  Each is wired, and ready to hang as soon as you receive it. Enjoy!

Another example of how I like to make "ready to hang" art.

I am now making available for sale a select number of my morning studies, and quick sketches, experiments and paintings. All art designated as "sewn to 8 x 10in smooth white cardstock" will be like this example. Ready for your choice of any standard 8 x 10 in frame. These look reallycool. Many oohs and aahs when I started showing them to folks. I do this to my many little studies and smaller pieces that would otherwise require custom matting and framing. This just seemed easier and more creative, not to mention easy and effortless! Start your art collection on a budget with these original artworks.

Mixed Media artwork – please read the individual notes on these pieces to see if varnish is used or not.  In general I try to avoid any spray varnish as it is toxic, but do use UV acrylic varnish with a brush.

Color - As you most likely know, the color of artwork as you view it online may vary slightly from what you receive.  Different computer monitors render colors differently, and there is no way to change that. Please contact me with any questions you may have.

For Sale? – If there is a piece of art here on my blog that you like, and it is not marked as For Sale, please contact me, who knows?  Could be yours.

Commissions - Again, if you like my style and have something you would like painted, just contact me and we can discuss your ideas and wishes.

WATERMARK

Please note that any watermark that appears on a piece of my artwork displayed on this blog will not appear on your original.  However, each piece is signed by me (J E Springer or JES).

SHIPPING

FREE U.S.  SHIPPING.  Each piece will be shipped carefully and safely, bubble-wrapped and packaged carefully in a (most cases) USPS Priority Mail box, as is required for it to make its safe journey to you.  USPS is my preferred shipper and all priority mail shipments will receive an email with the tracking number.

International customers: If you reside outside the U.S. just send me an email with the artwork you are interested in and I’ll be happy to quote you a shipping price to your destination.

RETURN POLICY

If you are not completely satisfied with your painting I will gladly refund your purchase. Please notify me of your return within 7 days of receiving your package.  Please repack – the very same as it was delivered and once it is returned I will be happy to issue a refund.  Buyer is responsible for return shipping.

SALES TAX

**Seller charges sales tax for items shipped to California addresses.
