FREE DEMO this Saturday and an Artist's Prayer

This weekend I will be sharing my collection of sketchbooks, how I made some of them, and my favorite, mostly portable, media I use in them.  Come to Riley Street 10:30 - noon.

My new Sketchbook Reverie class begins next Monday at Riley Street, 10am - noon.  There are just a few spots left, so let me know if you are interested. Sketchbooks are unique for each artist, and there is no "right way" to work in your sketchbook. My class will help each artist explore what works for THEM.

Whether you are interested in my class or not, please feel free to stop by Riley Street Saturday morning and take a peek at all my journals, some from travels, some just daily sketching, and a bunch of vintage, and other altered sketchbooks too.

I will set up some of my favorite watercolor and gouache palettes, and talk about my fave drawing tools and brushes, and more.  As well I intend to share with you how to create a simple sketchbook in no time.

And a friend just shared this fabulous poem with me....something all artists will get a kick out of:
