It's Not Like I Am Doing Nothing Creatively...

I am so thrilled to be teaching my two classes at Riley Street again. The most wonderful bunch of artists and lovely souls I am blessed to spend time with each Monday morning and afternoon.

As you can see below, I am painting a bit, but the pain keeps me from finishing anything up properly, so none of these are ready to upload in completed form. But thought I would show you some of my efforts.

I am just a bit over 7 weeks from surgery and they say at the 3 month mark the pain will diminish. Can't happen soon enough!

    1. Thanks so much, Sheila. Paint, rest, rest, paint. One of these days I can leave out the "rest rest" part! LOL

  2. Joanie, they say that doing creative things actually accelerates the healing process. So, keep on arting. Someplace in the chaos of information on my computer, I have a great article on the power of art. I'll send it if I can find it again.
Pain-time will be over soon. I can't believe it has been 7 weeks since your surgery.

  4. Joanie, your charming paintings are I think continually healing the environment in which they sit and I certainly hope that n-o-t-h-I-n-g will stop your making them!! I love the one I bought from you; lucky I was there when you were ready to sell it. It is a real model for me, of positive and uplifting approaches to art.
