The texture is lovely on this, and it has such a dainty “feel”. The way the gouache settles into the valleys and hills of the gesso is fascinating. I’m definitely going to do more of these. Now the subtle black paint strokes that resemble ink, are NOT ink. A dear art pal, Nancy, gifted me a very cool 15 hair 2 inches long skinny 20/0 rigger. Ooooh what fun, looks like ink, but it’s just black (or paynes grey) gouache. The flowers just look they are so animated and having a frolic when no one is around.
