Blondie – original ink & gouache study, 8″x10″, $25

I’ve been practicing little 5 – 10 minute quick sketch portraits….so that’s what you’ll see the next few days.

I start with my sketchbook
spray it lightly with water
add sepia ink with a dip pen
then it splatters all very cool, and there’s a dread that says “oh no…i blew it”
but saving it is the very fun part.
leave it alone,
then add a bit of gouache or watercolor.
In a few of these coming up you’ll see a bit of pastel pencil.
