I took a wonderful workshop on minimalism (the process, not the art historical period) this weekend by the talented artist and engaging teacher Janet Moore.  Visit her site here, she has a unique style of painting landscapes full of  dreamy colors  – they are just a wee bit otherwordly and absolutely lovely – so clean and pure. Thank you, Janet, for enough inspiration from Saturday’s class to keep me going awhile!

I started a few pieces at the workshop working on my cardboard supports, and this was one of two good starts that I came home and finished. Her eyes haunt me. A seriously soulful face.
