And I thought prepping for an exhibition/show was chaos-making! Well, guess what…I found out that the aftermath brings its own messes.
For one, I found a crumpled up piece of paper that I was ready to throw out, only to unfurl it a bit and noticed that there was a business card attached with a note on back saying they wanted to purchase my painting. Sheesh, and that note was over two months old – was attached to the Best of Show ribbon of my humble little Progresso soup can oil painting, won back in August. Fortunately I emailed the gal and we met on Monday and did the swap. And I met a wonderful new business woman, full of creativity and ideas. We enjoyed an animated coffee chat over at Cookie’s Coffee where about 100 of my other paintings are on display.
So, with all the chaos of the prep-aftermath of my shows, I had nowhere to put anything, and I had a pile that needed to go somewhere. Off to Home Depot, and bought the shelving hardware….ugh, what I predicted would be a two hour project turned into an entire day (count it, THREE trips back to the hardware store), but finally got done and Sanity is Restored. At least until next time. [Everytime I do a project like this, I pray that it's the last time I'll have to do it all myself!!! I need a handyman, and if he's tall, kind and big-hearted, too, (and single - duh!) well.....all the better. Smile.]
Believe me, I make BIG messes when in the creative zone, but the Virgo part of me eventually requires me to Organize – and that means No Painting til I do! What an astrological taskmaster.
Here are a few pics:

I love how organized you are. It’s an inspiration – I need to do the same!
