These next two kitties tell about the relationship they have with us, us with them.  We theirs, they’re ours.  Although that might not balance equally.

Here’s another monotype, this one on dictionary paper then painted…there is something so intriguing about the marks made by monotype, and only made by monotypes.  I took a piece of 5 x 7 glass, loaded it up with Daniel Smith water-based black ink ( I avoid anything toxic or solvent-based), rolled it til it was not too much, not too little ink (trial and error!!!) and then placed this gessoed recycled paper on it, drew my little kitty on it, then pulled it off.  Too fun!  After waiting several days for the ink to dry thoroughly, I took my mixed media to it to finish it off.
