This is a very poignant piece for me…..my mom passed away in 2005 of colon cancer. My mom and dad are truly soulmates. So this is what their relationship feels like to me now that mom’s “gone” and dad’s still with us. Took quite awhile to complete this…..most things I can do in a few sittings, but this one took weeks to complete. Just too emotionally charged to work on it consistently. A relief to complete it. Obviously, not for sale.

my mom also passed of colon ca in 88 and my folks were very affectionate with one another
