Introduced to scratchboard at class Monday morning, yuch, I thought…..sooo scratchy, how do you use this blankety tool, whens class over….and then ZING! I started getting lost in the zen of it. The farm photo was taken by my instructor, Garan….and then the others were last nite’s musings at my coffee table/art studio, LOL.

These are really nice. I like them all, but especially the Renoir inspired piece.
Impressive work on the farm scene. Landscapes are my fav. and this one has a serentiy feel to it that is most appealing. what’s more…for me…although it is a monochromatic pallette, my mind’s eye sees the colors where they should be.

I haven’t used scratch board for years…what lovely pieces here…I think this will be on my list of things to “try again” in 2009!
