Author Junot Diaz , 5″ x 7″ clayboard with india ink then scratched back to clay.

I really like how it looks “cut” like a lino or wood cut. Now I want to try one of them. I’m still working on subtractive art……..quite intrigued. The clayboard experiment was interesting, sketching lightly my design on the white clayboard, then brushing on india ink, then after it dries, i scratch out my design. In this case, Junot Diaz….author of The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Diaz…..a book club selection by my family.
