And last but not least….my travel palettes.
This is my bigger travel kit, but i take it on airplanes, and big trips. I purchased a Koi 18 color kit cuz the design is brilliant. Love the way the mixing tray can be attached in multiple ways….nice compact and well made plastic. But didn’t love the paints. So, i soaked the thing overnite, and then CAREFULLY wedged out the yuchy pan colors. And after cleaning up the too thin plastic liner with alcohol and a few qtips, I added my own paints. And when i wanted some gouache in there, that’s when i discovered the marine putty….and made a few more spaces on the side for more paint. LOVE this set. Not teeny but not too big to travel with either. Got a wax resist crayon and even a few toothpicks for the masking fluid.
Another thing I love about this set up is, that inside this cosmetic zipper case that I found at Target, I can have an entire studio with me when i travel! Mini jars (lipbalm size) of salt, gouache, and masking fluid. All my pens, erasers, and waterbrush. All you need is to remember to pick up napkins at the airport coffee shops. And voila….a complete studio on the run.
And my Handbook Journal is just about the same size as my Travel kit, so all is well. My Art Studio on the run!

I love these! I love the way that we artists are so creative in the way that we use things that are totally unrelated to “painting”!Thanks for sharing this!Libbi
What fun!! I like how you used mini jars for masking fluid. It never occurred to me to repackage that.
